Prior to becoming a certified holistic health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I was in the hospitality industry for 20 years and an event professional for 15 years.

Stress was constant. I was living an unhealthy lifestyle (drinking alcohol regularly and eating out all of the time) and traveling frequently for work. Then I would be really hard on myself for not fitting into my jeans and stress myself out even more. Hello Type-A Perfectionist!

I was also a people pleaser, had a hard time telling my clients no and didn't have boundaries. I was in a very unhealthy relationship. It was horrible, I felt like I was taking care of everyone else but myself. 

I lived like this for years and had no idea what stress was actually doing to my body (and my hormones) until I burned out. I was fatigued, my hair was thinning, my stomach was always bloated, I had HORRIBLE PMS, crazy mood swings and I had no ambition anymore. Plus I had undiagnosed PCOS that was wreaking havoc on my mind and body. 

I went to my family Dr. and she just told me to stress less and prescribed me some anti-anxiety meds, which I hated. I couldn't function on them. 

That's when I realized that I couldn't go on feeling like a big piece of poop forever and started doing tons of research. I came across the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and decided right then and there to enroll and learn everything I could about health & wellness so that I could heal myself. 

I then got out of the unhealthy relationship, told all of my clients I was taking a break and flew to Thailand and Bali for 3 months. Hello Eat, Pray, Love! 

I took yoga classes, ecstatic dance, hiked, biked, read about 20 books on holistic health and also just took it easy. I learned so much about how to heal my body and my mind naturally through simple nutrition and lifestyle changes. Plus I was getting in touch with my spiritual side, which was long overdue.

A couple of weeks into my trip, I randomly met a handsome Canadian man on a dance floor in Chiang Mai, Thailand. To make a long story short...we fell in love and I moved from Phoenix, Arizona to British Columbia, Canada!

At 40 yrs old, I started worrying about being able to have a baby now that I met the man of my dreams. Even though I was living a healthier life, test results showed that my hormones were still imbalanced. 

So I took another course on hormone health and implemented everything I learned on myself. After a few months, I got pregnant naturally! Everything I did is in my 21 Day Hormone Reset!

I was also certified as a Mercier Therapist, which is sequence of massage techniques designed to encourage optimal placement of the reproductive organs, enhance circulation, and bring overall balance to the reproductive system. So that helped too!
