I didn’t always live a healthy lifestyle.
In fact, it wasn’t that long ago that I had horrible PMS, constant fatigue, thinning hair, anxiety, digestion issues, bloating, bad skin, PCOS and wondered if I was ever able to feel good again.
And I constantly wondered if I was ever going to be able to get pregnant and become a Mother someday.
Those were some of the hardest times of my life. I can still remember what it felt like to visit multiple Doctors and walk away feeling defeated because they didn’t know (or care) about my horrible symptoms.
Some days I just wanted to give up and take the anti-anxiety meds or hormonal birth control that they were suggesting that I take, just so I could feel better in the short term.
Then one day something changed. I was laying in bed, googling my symptoms once again trying to figure out what was going on with me and I came across an article about a story of a woman that had experienced burnout. She had decided to go back to school to become a Certified Holistic Health Coach to learn everything about how to heal your body naturally and then did heal her body.
And at that moment, I decided things needed to change. I needed to change. So I made the decision to go back to school to become a health coach so that I could learn everything I could on how to heal my own body naturally.
It wasn’t easy.
At that time, I owned a small meeting & event planning company and I was planning high-end incentive trips for my clients all over the world. Plus, I was taking these courses and studying when I had a free moment. There were days that I didn’t think I’d ever learn how to heal myself naturally. It didn’t help that other people didn’t think I’d succeed, either.
You have no idea how many times I heard naysayers tell me things like:
Then one day I had a breakthrough while I was studying. The lesson I was studying was about hormone health and all of the horrible symptoms that come from hormonal imbalances. I was shocked.
Not one of the Doctors ever talked about the role that hormones play in our bodies or that hormone imbalances could cause these symptoms.
They never told me to get my hormones tested either, they just tried to prescribe me hormonal birth control to try and manage my symptoms. Even though I wanted to get pregnant someday!
So, I studied hormones non-stop and signed up for another certification course in hormone health. And I got certified as a Mercier Therapist, which is a fertility massage technique.
While I was getting my Hormone Health Certification, I started implementing everything I learned on myself.
And suddenly, my horrible symptoms started going away. I felt like I had more energy, my PMS was better, I wasn’t bloated anymore, my skin cleared up, my anxiety disappeared….and I even got pregnant naturally at 39 years old!
How?
And I also started saying NO to anything and anyone that did not support my healing journey.
